Buhari Has Nothing To Offer But Provocative Utterances – PDP

Image
The Peoples Democratic Party has welcomed the emergence of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari as the presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 general elections. This will be the fourth time General Buhari will be contesting in the presidential elections. On each of the three previous occasions, he failed to articulate a vision of the future that was acceptable to Nigerians. On each occasion, his brand of politics was rejected across Nigeria. Apart from changing to a dinner suit, Mr. Buhari has not changed the tired ideas and provocative utterances that Nigerians rejected in previous elections… We hope that this time round, Mr. Buhari will conduct a campaign that is issue-based and devoid of ethno-religious sentiments. We are convinced that the PDP remains the only truly national political party in Nigeria, a platform on which all Nigerians can pursue their legitimate aspirations. We also believe that despite the distractions, President Goodluck Jonathan h...

Court Strikes Out PDP Suit Seeking To Sack Kwankwaso, Amaechi, Wamakko

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday failed in its bid to unseat governors that decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from their party. Justice Gabriel Kolawole of a Federal High Court in Abuja struck out the suit filed by the PDP in which it sought to sack the four governors who defected from the party. The party begged the court to declare the defecting governors’ seats vacant and also asked the court to order INEC to conduct elections for their replacement. Nyako’s name was removed from the suit shortly after his impeachment. The remaining four are – Rotimi Am...

HON. IFEANYI UGWUANYI DECLARED ENUGU PDP GOVERNORSHIP FLAGBEARER.

Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi Wow!!! Reports reaching us has it that the Chairman of House of Representative Committee on Marine Transport, Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has emerged the Enugu State PDP governorship candidate. Gburugburu, as he is always called, defeated other aspirants such as Senator Ayogu Eze, Prof. Onyeke A. Onyeke and Speaker, Enugu House of Assembly, Hon. Eugene Odo. Hon. Ugwuanyi got 933 votes out of the total 963 votes cast beating his main challenger in the race, Speaker Eugene Odo who had 26 votes.  However, Senator Eze and Prof. Onyeke did not participate in the primary held at the stadium. We gathered that the duo of Chief Anayo Onwuegbu and Hon. Chinedu Onu, at the weekend, stepped down for Hon. Ugwuanyi while Chief Dr. Sam Maduka Onyeishi, the founder of Peace Group of Companies, on Monday, withdrew from the race. Hon. Ugwuanyi's victory seems to have brought to an end the friction between the governor, Sullivan Chime and Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu....
